alamoheadinjury.org -The Alamo Head Injury Association provides support and information to brain injury survivors, their parents and spouses, orther family members and friends .

www.biatx.org - Brain Injury Association of Texas - provides information and support for individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injury.

http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/tbi/detail_tbi.htm - National Institute of neurological disorders and strokes. - provides great information

http://www.abta.org - American Brain Tumor Association - provides information and support to individuals and their caregivers regarding brain tumors (Treys tumor is an oligodendroglioma, and began developing at age 12).  Tumors are considered acquired brain injury.  Current studies in children who have had to undergo whole head radiation show these kids to be surviving what was once a death sentance are now surviving.  The CDC and other research agencies are now looking at what the long term affect the lesions (the come from radiation) will have on their lives.

http://www.dvbic.org/ - This organization is for active duty military and vets.  Brain injury is the signature injury of the war in Iraq, and the estimates are that there will be 150,000 brain injuries coming home from that war.  Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center is not military, but it serves military only.
