Services

Membership is divided into two groups: full members and auxiliary members.

Full membership is open to anyone with a history of acquired/traumatic brain injury, or a stigmatized brain disorder. Members are encouraged to serve on the board and guide the House in its progress.

Auxiliary membership is for individuals with disability issues who do not meet the criteria for membership. Aux members are not permitted to serve on the board, but otherwise have the same rights and responsibilities as full members.

Membership rules

  • Membership is voluntary and without time limits
  • Trey’s House has control over its acceptance of new members
  • Membership is open to anyone with a history of acquired brain injury, unless that person poses a significant and current threat to the general safety of the Trey’s House community.
  • Members choose the way they utilize Trey’s House, and the staff with whom they work
  • There are no agreements, contracts, schedules, or rules intended to enforce participation of members
  • All members have equal access to every Trey’s House opportunity with no differentiation based on diagnosis or level of functioning
  • Members at their choice are involved in the writing of all records reflecting their participation in Trey’s House. All such records are to be signed by both member and staff
  • Members have a right to immediate re-entry into the Trey’s House community after any length of absence, unless their return poses a threat to Trey’s House community
  • Trey’s House provides an effective reach out system to members who are not attending, becoming isolated in the community or hospitalized

Because activity and stimulation are key elements for the social reintegration issues faced by brain injured individuals, Treys House, a clubhouse for victims of both acquired and traumatic brain injury, shall seek to further such activity. Our mission is to provide a safe place to go, restoring  confidence in social settings.

We are not an adult day care center – members must be able to handle their own basic needs (ie: restroom and feeding skills).  Trey's House is not a treatment facility.

We are not doctors, we do not give medical advice.  We are not lawyers or CPA's, we do not give legal or financial advice.  We have suffered an acquired  or traumatic brain injury either personally or of a loved one.

  •
    Community is healing!

Members of the Clubhouse work side by side with staff, co-managing...using their abilities, to complete the work of the Clubhouse. Treys House will focuses on member empowerment and choice in participation.
